Warburton Avenue gate, Greystone estate. January 2003.
This gate has since been repainted - perhaps historically-incorrect - gray. The gate no longer looks half as interesting as it did before.

Eschmann carriage house, built ca. 1901.
The F.W.R. Eschmann mansion was demolished and replaced by P.S. 25 / Museum Middle School. The carriage house later served as Fire Station 8, which is now houses in a cinder block building short distance south. This handsome Renaissance-style building, a miniature version of the mansion it was built for, has been abandoned since 1979.
