Overlook Mountain House

Overlook Mountain House. Main entrance, south front.
Mark Klonfas writes: "I was told by a former Woodstock town historian that Morris Newgold, who built the structure, bought parts from old NYC hotels that were being demolished in the early part of the 20th century. The marble columns in the picture supposedly come from the ORIGINAL Waldorf- Astoria hotel, and I once found a picture of them, and the columns appeared to be on a LEDGE high above the streets of New York!!"
