Ruined Bench and Outdoor Swimming Pool.
The Lodge pond was once an outdoor swimming pool. Professional exhibitions and regional meets were held here throughout the 1920s and early 1930s. The United States Olympic team held several exhibitions in the 1920s to defray the cost of traveling expenses. Notables who swam here included Johnny Weissmuller, Gertrude Ederle, Aileen Riggan and Helen Meany.
